About Dr. Rose Giammarco
Dr Giammarco began her career in nursing, working in the field of psychiatry at St Joseph’s Healthcare. She completed her medical degree at McMaster University in Hamilton, followed by a neurology residency at University of Toronto.
Dr. Giammarco is presently on staff as a general neurologist at St Joseph’s Healthcare in Hospital. She holds a position of Associate Clinical Professor at Hamilton Health Sciences. Her position involves continuing medical education for residents and house staff, as well as community physicians. She is founding Director of the Hamilton Headache Clinic.
She currently is one of the directors of the Canadian Headache Society. She has been involved in a number of headache publications, including the CHS Guidelines for Prophylaxis and Acute Migraine Treatment.
