Dr. Sharath Babu is the consultant radiologist and head of the department of radiodiagnosis and nuclear medicine at Health City. He oversees the functioning of all the diagnostic imaging services and nuclear medicine. He is also the radiation safety officer of Health City Cayman Islands.

Background

Dr. Sharath earned his MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery) at Government Medical College, Mysore, India, in 2008. He completed his DNB (Diplomat of the National Board of Examinations) in Radio diagnosis from NBE, New Delhi, India, in 2012.

He did his advanced Fellowship in cardiac imaging from the famous Seoul national university, Seoul, South Korea in 2016, under the guidance of Korean society of radiology.

He had the Radiation safety training in 2015 from world renowned Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA.

Dr. Sharath finished trialect short term fellowship in oncology imaging from Heidelberg university hospital, Heidelberg, Germany in March 2018.

He also did observation-ship in MSK radiology from Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard medical school, Boston, USA in 2015.

He is a CEDP (clinical educator development program) graduate from American Roentgen Ray Society, Los Angeles, USA (April 2016).

Dr. Sharath joined Narayana Health (NH) in 2012 and was working Consultant Radiologist and head of the department of Radio-diagnosis at shimoga, Karnataka, India. He worked as Consultant Radiologist at Fortis Cauvery Hospital, Mysore, before joining NH. He has attended various international conferences and has presented many national and international papers.

Dr. Sharath is a lifetime member of the Indian Radiology Imaging Association (IRIA), European College of Radiology (ECR) and Korean Society of Radiology (KSR).
