Orthopedic

Total knee replacement, also called knee arthroplasty, is a surgical procedure to resurface a knee damaged by arthritis. Metal and plastic parts are used to cap the ends of the bones that form the knee joint, along with the kneecap. We offer the latest in technology including the new ceramic knee.

Hip replacement surgery is a procedure in which a doctor surgically removes a painful hip joint with arthritis and replaces it with an artificial joint often made from metal and plastic components. It usually is done when all other treatment options have failed to provide adequate pain relief.

Direct anterior hip replacement is a minimally invasive surgical technique. This approach involves a 3 to 4 inch incision on the front of the hip that allows the joint to be replaced by moving muscles aside along their natural tissue planes, without detaching any tendons, resulting in less pain and quicker recovery.

Shoulder - Mumford procedure, also known as distal clavicle excision or distal clavicle resection, is a medical operation performed to alleviate shoulder pain and discomfort by excising the distal (lateral) end of the clavicle. Those suffering from osteoarthritis in the Acromioclavicular joint can opt for this procedure when non-surgical alternatives (e.g., cortisone injection) are unsuccessful.

Shoulder - Latarjet operation is a surgical procedure used to treat recurrent shoulder dislocations, typically caused by bone loss or a fracture of the glenoid.

Neuro

Spinal fusion is surgery to permanently connect two or more vertebrae in your spine, eliminating motion between them to improve stability, correct a deformity or reduce pain. This procedure allows the surgeon to fill the space left by removing the disc with a block of bone taken from the pelvis. Placing a bone graft between two or more vertebrae causes the vertebrae to grow together, or fuse.

Cervical disc replacement is a surgical procedure that involves removing a damaged or degenerated cervical disc and replacing it with an artificial disc device. This procedure is similar to the anterior cervical discectomy and fusion except that the defect that is created by removing the disc from between the two vertebrae is filled with a disc replacement device.

Cardiac

Coronary angiogram is a procedure that uses X-ray imaging to see your heart's blood vessels and check for blockages.

Coronary angioplasty is a procedure used to widen blocked or narrowed coronary arteries (the main blood vessels supplying the heart). The term "angioplasty" means using a balloon to stretch open a narrowed or blocked artery.

Aortic valve replacement is a minimally invasive procedure to replace a narrowed aortic valve that fails to open properly (aortic valve stenosis). In this procedure, doctors insert a catheter in your leg or chest and guide it to your heart.

Catheter ablation is a procedure that uses radiofrequency energy (similar to microwave heat) to destroy a small area of heart tissue that is causing rapid and irregular heartbeats. Destroying this tissue helps restore your heart’s regular rhythm. The procedure is also called radiofrequency ablation.

Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) is a type of surgery that improves blood flow to the heart. Surgeons use CABG to treat people who have severe coronary heart disease in which a waxy substance called plaque builds up inside the coronary arteries.

Cardiac Contractility Modulation (CCM) is a unique and innovative method for treating patients with moderate to severe Chronic Heart Failure that are symptomatic despite optimal medical therapy.  It is a device similar to a pacemaker, but works with the heart to enhance the heart’s natural contraction sustainably over long periods of time.

Bariatric

Sleeve gastrectomy is a surgical weight-loss procedure in which the stomach is reduced to about 15% of its original size, by surgical removal of a large portion of the stomach along the greater curvature.

Intragastric balloon is a newer kind of weight-loss procedure. A saline-filled silicone balloon is placed in your stomach, making you feel fuller.

Gastric band surgery is where the surgeon places a band around the upper part of your stomach to create a small pouch to hold food.

Gastric bypass surgery refers to a surgical procedure in which the stomach is divided into a small upper pouch and a much larger lower "remnant" pouch and then the small intestine is rearranged to connect to both.
