Compassionate Cancer Care

Health City Cayman Islands provides medical oncology services that focus on the diagnosis and treatment of various cancers using progressive chemotherapy, as well as hormonal, biological, and targeted therapies. The cancer treatments we offer are limited to nonsurgical approaches. Our medical oncology team delivers world-class medical care and compassionate support for the patient through all phases of their chemotherapy cycle and supportive care regime – from diagnosis and treatment – to management and recovery.

We provide a healing environment for all of our patients, which is especially important for those being treated for and recovering from cancer. The dedicated Oncology Day Care Unit is a serene, comfortable environment in which patients receive treatment.

Personalized Treatment Plan

After thorough testing to reach a detailed diagnosis, our team develops a personalized treatment plan based on the patient’s medical history and current diagnosis. Our team of medical oncologists, physicians, and oncology nurses work together to ensure that the most advanced, cost-effective, guideline-based therapies are used to effectively treat each patient.

Our medical oncology services include:

Cancer Risk Assessment and Screening
We assess a person’s individual risk for developing cancer and offer measures for prevention and early detection. These services cover many types of cancer including that of breast, cervical, colorectal, prostate, and lung.

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Procedure
Our services range from scans and image-guided biopsy using ultrasound and CT imaging to bone marrow aspiration and biopsy in order to properly diagnose and treat cancer.

Chemotherapy
We treat solid tumors, lymphomas and myeloma with chemotherapy to help stop the cancer from advancing, with the goal of restoring health to the patient.

Supportive Care
We offer many types of supportive care for cancer patients and their families including pain management, palliative care, prevention and treatment of cancer-related infections, transfusions and survivorship counseling.

Mammogram
Our screening mammography services are used to detect early breast cancer in women experiencing no symptoms, when it is most treatable.

Surviving Cancer

A diagnosis of cancer brings with it a range of emotions, along with many questions and concerns. The disease can be life changing, and patients often experience disbelief, fear, anger, sadness, loneliness, and anxiety, even when they have loved ones rallying around them. We will do everything we can to support you during this difficult journey, from delivering expert clinical care to providing the clinical knowledge and emotional support that you and your family need to feel empowered.

Our approach to cancer treatment focuses on the patient’s individual needs —  including body, mind, and spirit. To do so, we:

  • Include patients in the development of their care plan.
  • Engage patients and educate them about all treatments and medications.
  • Provide a healing environment to enhance recovery.

Our medical oncologists are among the most highly skilled in the world today. They are here to help you find answers and effective cancer treatments in order to expedite the path toward healing and recovery.
