Emergency Room & Urgent Care Center

The Emergency Room (ER) is the gateway to any hospital and acts as an interface between outpatient and inpatient admissions. Emergencies are often stressful conditions and we take utmost care to ensure your visit to the emergency room is quick and smooth as possible.

The ER at Health City Cayman has six beds, with two resuscitation beds and four acute care beds with an attached minor operation theatre.

The ER is situated on the ground floor with direct access to the resuscitation bay for ambulance arrivals, and is manned by five consultant physicians, four registrars and trained staff.

The Health City ER is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for a wide spectrum of patients with acute emergencies for initial evaluation, resuscitation, treatment, investigation, stabilization, monitoring and disposition. It is equipped with cardiac monitors, defibrillator, mechanical ventilator, transport ventilator, syringe pumps, oxygen therapy unit, suction machines, and airway management devices along with difficult airway management devices, ETCO2 monitors, ABG machine and portable ultrasound machine.

The Emergency department is backed by the surgical and medical Intensive Care Units for continued care.

Vital support services including around-the-clock laboratory services, blood bank support and radiological services such as ultrasound, CT and MRI aids in the diagnosis and management of critically ill patients, helping Health City to remain emergency ready 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
